You planted some seeds but you didn't water them so you come back in a year to collect some fruit
you're skippin' some stones just to walk away, and look over your shoulder to watch them drown
Home, what time are you coming home
Home, are you even coming home
You tore me from a shallow grave
Took me down to a town in the ground
all there was, was a hospital
so i checked, I found they were weak
bed sheets haven't been changed
blood & birth from the women before
You stole all my bases before I got home and threw so many balls all my boys walked home
Goodbye

Salt Water

I’ve been swimming, and swimming, but the salt water burns my battle wounds
(I’ve been floating amongst these rotting “bodies” for far too long
the waves catch me off guard and I have no will to fight
The waves wash my broken body, and the current carries me
I think I’m just swimming along (there’s more but I don’t know what it is)
Dashing, and beautiful, the sea has transformed me
From who I once was, to who I am now, to who I’ll soon be
A body transformed by salt water
And this body they call a sea
